LAYTON a€" Leah Morgan Cooper, 82, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009.

She was born in Layton, Utah the daughter of James Harvey and Alice Walker Morgan.

Leah graduated from Davis High School in 1944 and attended the University of Utah.

Leah married Kenneth Lee Cooper on June 26, 1946 in Layton, Utah. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1998.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

Leah operated Variety Plus Retail Store with her sisters and belonged to the Layton JC''s with her husband Ken. She loved to sew and quilt but her favorite thing to do was spend time with her children, grandchildren and family.

Surviving are her daughter, Cathy (Michael D.) Lee, Kaysville; four sons, R. Bryan (Weda) Cooper, Roy; Stanford (Jan) Cooper, Lebon, PA; Kris Morgan (Sandee) Cooper, Layton; Steven Quinn Cooper, CA; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Judy (DelMar) Stevens, Layton; Faye (Otis) Adams, Layton; and Aleene Barkdull, Farmington.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Dean Morgan, Del Morgan, Beth Sandall, Glen Morgan and Susann Morgan.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
