Our precious Leah left this earthly life on Thursday, January 16, 2014.  She was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her and who were blessed to love and care for her.  She loved life and was happy.  From the day of her birth, she fought to live.  She was born as one of four, quadruplets, and was the biggest of the four.  She was born with a rare Chromosome deletion, ATR-16 and at only three pounds, she had a bigger spirit than her little body could handle.  The moment she discovered she could move, she moved, bounced, wiggled, and shook her head back and forth.  The only times she was still and listening was when music was played.  Leah loved music and loved Primary songs.  She conquered every challenge with a smile and taught us about innocence and pure love.  We love her dearly and will miss her beautiful enthusiasm.  She will be deeply missed by her surviving relatives; Jared and Amy Montoya, her older brother, Caleb Arave currently serving a LDS Mission, her older sister Elizabeth, and her quad siblings Joseph, Sarah, and William.  She has a special bond with her brother William, he having a Chromosome deletion also; they were always together and have gone through much together.   She is also survived by her grandparents, William R. and Athleen Moss and George and Blanca Montoya and many aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved her.

We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, therapists and teachers that worked with her and took care of her at Primary Children’s Hospital, South Davis Community Hospital, and Windridge Elementary.  And a special thanks for all of the members of the Layton Hills Stake and Layton West Stake.  We are grateful for your dedication, tenderness, love and prayers in behalf of our precious Leah.

We miss you Leah and anxiously await the day when we will see each other again.  Run Leah run.  You are free.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel Hills Ward, 1290 N. Church Street, Layton.  Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
