CLEARFIELD - Leah Jones Nielsen returned to her Heavenly home on Saturday, December 26, 2009, to a long awaited and glorious reunion with her husband and loved ones.

Leah was born February 11, 1915 in Henefer, Utah. She was the daughter of Thomas Allen Jones and Charlotte Judd.

Leah married Vern Cooper Nielsen on March 30, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1973.

Leah was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many positions. She especially loved Relief Society.

She loved making and quilting quilts, crocheting, working in her flower garden and spending time with her family.

She made ladies beautiful by doing their hair for 40 years, where she made many wonderful friends.

She is survived by her five children: Colleen (Hal) Stonebraker, Clinton; Kay Allen, South Jordan; Sharon (Carl) Jensen, Orem; Grant (Danna) Nielsen, Morgan; Lynn (JeNae) Nielsen, Hyrum; 28 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

She had unconditional love for her family and faith in God. She left a legacy of love, hard work and an unwavering trust in God. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at the Clearfield 2nd Ward, 1175 E. 1225 So., Clearfield. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
