Leah Irene Hestmark Tubbs

Leah Irene Hestmark Tubbs, 95, passed away on August 4, 2015. She was born on June 3, 1920 in Ogden, Utah to Alfred and Ernestine Schultz Hestmark.
She married Thurman Henry Tubbs, Jr. “Tubby” on May 22, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Leah enjoyed oil painting and ceramics. She was a member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Sandridge Ward). She served in various church callings. She was also a founding member of the Roi Annes Club of Roy.
Leah and her husband owned and operated the South Ogden Cleaners for 23 years.
Leah was the best mother and grandmother and a great example to all who knew her. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She loved family gatherings in her back yard and the grandchildren remember these gatherings fondly. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. She enjoyed preparing the dinner for her entire family for many years.
The family would like to thank Pineview Rehab, Hospice for Utah and the Paul and Ruth Croft family.
Leah is survived by his her children, Marilyn (Bill) Varner, St. George; Bev (Dean) Orstrom, Roy; Annette (Phil) Olmstead, St. George; Kevin (Dianne) Tubbs, Hooper; and Nancy (Kay) Williamson, Hooper; 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Ginny Hestmark. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clark Hestmark and Gil Hestmark; and sister, Dorothy Barkdull.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
