Leanore "Lee" Sparrow Lesley "Together Again"
Leanore "Lee" Sparrow Lesley, 91, passed away on October 20, 2012 at Stoney Brooke Assisted Living Center of natural causes one month after the love of her life left her. Lee was born March 22, 1921 in Ogden, Utah to Parley Chantrel and Katie Henstrom Sparrow, one of six children. She met Edd Lesley and they were married on August 18, 1939 in Midvale, Utah. They spent a wonderful 73 years together working and living a great life together in Riverdale, Utah. Lee supported her loving husband while successfully running the mobile home parks in Riverdale, Utah for 41 years.
Lee prided herself on being a good mother, raising three children to be successful and happy. She began working at Albertsons bakery where she developed her love and talent for cake decorating. Many family and friends have been the recipient of her beautifully decorated and delicious cakes. She volunteered at McKay Dee Hospital for 16 years enjoying the friendships that she made while there every Tuesday.
She was very family oriented and spent time with her husband, children and grandchildren in the Airstream trailer traveling to visit friends and family. She would never fly on an airplane or ride in a boat, but would go anywhere in the truck and trailer! She enjoyed camping, playing the slots, and cooking for family birthday parties and special occasions.
Lee is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Robert) Marshall, West Haven, UT; sons, David (Vickie) Lesley, West Weber, UT and Greg (Taunya) Lesley, Punta Gorda, FL; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Vickie Evins, West Plains, MO and Chris Leslie, Cordova, TN all of whom have been touched and shaped by Lee.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, step-daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Bill Baxter, Caruthersville, MO; a grandson; and one brother and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
The family would like to thank the angels of Vista Care Hospice and Stoney Brooke Assisted Living for their tender loving care of Lee and Dr.''s Almony and Senekjian for their kind care of Lee over the years.
