Leatha May Stickney Christiansen passed from this mortal life on Friday, April 27, 2018, incidence due to age.

She was born April 15, 1932 in Dividend, Utah, the only daughter of Julius Taylor and Hattie Nalette Peck Stickney. She grew up and lived in many places such as Lofgreen, Utah, Santaquin, Utah, Mona, Utah, Nephi, Utah and Spanish Fork, Utah. They moved a lot because her father worked for the Railroad.

On February 26, 1949, she married Derrell Dee Christiansen at her parents’ home in Mona, Utah. Their marriage was later sealed in the Manti Temple on October 13, 1950. They lived in Spanish Fork until 1963 when they moved to Sunset, Utah for work.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served for many years as Primary teacher and Primary counselor, Homemaking teacher, Relief Society chorister and assistant Ward Librarian.

She loved working in her yard and sewing dresses for her family and neighbors. She also volunteered at Sunset Elementary in the Title One program.

She leaves behind six of her seven children: Lettee Marie (Allen) Ferrin, Connie May Wade, Arvil Julius (Delene) Christiansen, Becky Jo (Grant) Dangerfield, Lesly Dawn (Craig) Rollins, Glenda Linn (Bert) Hansen; daughter-in-law, Tanya Alyce Bryon Christiansen; 24 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; her brother, William Coey Stickney and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Derrell Ray, son-in-law, Steven Wade, three grandchildren, one brother, Boyd Peck Stickney and two sisters-in-law.

The family would like to express a special “thank you” to all of the wonderful staff at Country Pines Assisted Living Center for the love and care they rendered to her.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Clinton City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
