Leda Vance Seabury
LAYTON a" Leda Vance Seabury, 89, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 29, 1921 in Brigham City, Utah the daughter of Stewart and Leona Hunt Vance. Leda was reared in Salt Lake City, graduating from East High in 1939. She spent most of her life in Salt Lake City. She lived on McClelland Street until moving to Layton four years ago.
Leda married Wesley Eugene Seabury on July 1, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She was an active member of the LDS Church. Leda spent 21 years as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple and she served in the Relief Society of the LeGrand Ward.
Leda loved ceramic dolls and exercise classes.
Surviving are her husband Wesley Eugene Seabury, Layton; son, Gerald Lynn, Salt Lake City; daughters, Sharon Benedict, Layton; Kathleen Cleveland, Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother, Kay Christensen and sister, Beth Lambert.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother, Rex Vance and son, Darrell Reed Seabury.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
