“Together Again”

Farr West – Lee Roy Howard, 86, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2015.  He was born to Roy Lee and Mary Evelyn Howard in Gainsville, Texas.  Lee moved to Utah in 1953 after serving in the United States Air Force.  Early in 1954 he met his best friend and love of his life, Norma B. Nielson.  They were married on August 28, 1954.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

He earned a degree in Business Administration from Weber State University.  He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 32 years of Civil Service.

Lee and Norma enjoyed farming, raising cattle, gardening, traveling, and winterizing in Arizona. Lee and Norma enjoyed a wonderful life together for 56 years until her death on September 24, 2010.

From this union they were blessed with three sons and one daughter, Roger F. (Annette) Howard, Blossom; Randy L. (deceased) (Gayla) Howard, Gainsville, Texas; William G. (Evonne) Howard, West Weber; and Karla (Mike) Chatelain, Harrisville; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, parents, and brother.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Farr West 1 st Ward Chapel, 1800 West 1800 North.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
