Leeward Dahle Tarbet Jr. (Lee)

Leeward Dahle Tarbet Jr., 77, joined his wife Shirley Tarbet and our Heavenly Father the early morning of Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Layton.

Lee was born on October 3, 1939 in Tremonton, Utah the son of Leeward Dahle Tarbet Sr. and Mabel May Tufts..

He married Shirley Mae Barfuss on November 4, 1965 in Sandy, Utah.

He had several different jobs, but by far his favorites where when he was working with children.  Whether he was teaching them to aim and squeeze the trigger or making sure they got safely across the street.  He was all about the kids.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, brother, Karl (Duke) Tufts, parents, grandparents and of course his idol John Wayne.

Surviving are his children, Walt (Nona) Mounir, Elk Grove, CA; Shane L. (Lisa) Tarbet, Layton, UT; Todd L. Tarbet, Sandy, UT; Kim (Ott) Vongsavath, Hooper, UT; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
