Leland “Kimbo” McCubbin
OGDEN – Leland “Kimbo” McCubbin, 54, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2007 in Brigham City.
He was born May 31, 1953 in Ogden, a son of Lloyd and Aurora Ramos McCubbin.
Leland married Barbara Luna in 1971 in Ogden. They later divorced. He married Lydia Gomez in 1980 in Las Vegas, NV. They were later divorced. He then married Tina Carrithers on June 11, 1998 in Ogden.
He loved fishing and just being by the water enjoying his happy smoke. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Leland was especially loved by all the many friends he had and it showed through his many kind acts. We will all miss him daily and cherish his memory.
Leland is survived by his four sons, Leland McCubbin, Jr., Ogden; Leonard McCubbin and Lance McCubbin, both of Texas; Samuel Parsons McCubbin, Ogden; six grandkids and three great-grandkids, and his very special friend, Debbie Parsons.
Also surviving are his brothers and sister, Larry (Baby-Doll) McCubbin, Mesquite, NV; Dennis (Jackie) McCubbin, Riverdale; Dave (Irene) McCubbin, North Ogden; Sharlotte (Kelly) Adalid, Ogden; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Aurora McCubbin; grandmother, Consepcion Mita Ramos, his cousins, J’lene Gurule and Jerald Prieto, and his very special grandson, Alex McCubbin.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
