Lenora Fuit Udink
CLINTON a" Our dear, sweet mother Lenora (Nori) passed away Tuesday March 25, 2008, at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield, following complications due to Diabetes.
She was born May 1, 1925 to Pricsella and John Fuit of Clinton. Raised on a farm she was the second oldest daughter of eight siblings. Her mother passed away when she was 16 leaving her the responsibility of helping to raise her brothers and sisters. A responsibility that she did with great love and care.
Nori met the man of her dreams in Herman Udink, and married him on November 6, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Nori was active throughout the years in the church serving in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Womens.
She was a wonderful cook and loved to bottle fruit and jams of all kinds. She was also an amazing seamstress as well as quilting, crocheting, and embroidering. She collected dolls, and loved sewing dresses for them and giving them to her granddaughters.
When mom was younger she enjoyed singing and dancing with her sisters and cousins. She said she was able to talk her father into almost anything if she sang to him. She truly enjoyed the blessings of her family.
She loved the spring and enjoyed her beautiful flowers and working in the yard. Her favorites were her many Irises, especially the lavender colored ones.
Mom enjoyed being involved with all her grandchildren and loved to be a part of their lives and watched them grow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters, and a son Allen D. Udink. We know they are having a wonderful time just catching up. She is survived by two sisters, and one brother, her husband Herman, two sons, Ron (Eileen) Udink, Mark (Shanna) Udink, and one daughter, Linda (Wes) Smith, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 28, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Clinton City Cemetery, 800 No. 750 W. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street.
A special thanks to all those who have helped care for our mother and taken care of our father through some difficult times.
