Leo L Wheeler, at the age 83, of North Ogden, passed away on June 27, 2017.

He was born in Iowa City, Iowa, on April 3, 1934. He was married to Glenda L Wheeler on October 23, 1965 in Granger, Utah. They were married for over 51 years until Glenda passed away in February of this year.

Leo served in the United States Air Force and retired from Hill Air Force Base at the age of 55. He enjoyed writing and playing music on his guitar, and loved to listen to Eddie Arnold. He enjoyed bowling and traveling the country with his wife. Leo always referred to himself as a Pepsi-holic.

He is survived by his son, Richard Edward (Debbie) Wheeler and his daughter, Christine (Leonard) Chesson; his three step-children, Gene (Terri) Hendrix, Cindy Acker, and Maureen Mayer; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
