Layton a€" Leola Billington Cornaby was called home just shy of her100th birthday. She was born May 16, 1910 in Eureka, Utah. After her birth, her father and the doctor went out on the porch and watched Halley''s Comet.

Leola married Mark T. Cornaby on October 15, 1927. The love of her life died in 1994. They had nine children as issue of their marriage. Three pre-deceased her: Mary Lou (James), J. Boyd (Barbara), and Preston. Six children survived her: Gordon (Lucille), Douglas (Etholene), Claire (Lee), Virginia (Dan), Kathy (Ed), and Ron (Donna).

Leola received great joy from her family. They were her life. If anyone spoke ill of one of her children, she would immediately come to their defense. She lived by the motto: ''Never say an unkind thing about anyone.'' She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Special thanks to Thatcher Brook Hospice for their kind and loving care to Lola.

Funeral services will be held at the Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd, on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held just prior to the funeral service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Leola will be buried in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
