Leola Mima Judd

Our loving mother, Leola Mima Williams Esperson Judd, age 94 of Layton, Utah, passed away to a greater and more joyful life on Tuesday, December 2, 2015 in Clearfield, Utah.  She was the oldest daughter of Joseph Leo Williams and Mima Durfee.

She was blessed with two wonderful husbands.  She was married to Clinton Hughes Esperson on June 9, 1943 until his death 57 years later in 2000.  On October 28, 2006 she was blessed to marry Dr. Warren Vernal Judd and spent the last nine years in wedded bliss.

Leola is survived by her four children: David Esperson (Celeste), Donald Esperson (Wendy), Janice Stricklin (Michael), and Joanne Kyle (Frank) and one step-daughter Elva Jean Colandino (Michael), sister Wanda Hodges (Weston deceased), 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first eternal companion, Clinton Esperson, her brother Charles Niels Williams, son-in-law Raymond Earl Gilbert, and great-grandson, Zachary Raymond Gilbert.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Midvale Cemetery.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to LDS Missionary Fund.
