Their legacy includes 13 grandchildren: Heidi, Matt, Mark, Brad, Luke, Debbie, Ben, David, Julie, Mike, Chase, Anne, Sarah and 19 great-grandchildren (the last one born Tuesday morning).
Leola was born April 21, 1923, to Ben and Ameila Webster and lived in Kaysville her entire life. Graduating from Davis High School in 1940, she enthusiastically served on DHS class reunion committees for many years. Attending Woodbury College in Los Angeles she graduated top of her class and received the honor of 7th place in a national typing contest.
She married Gene Prigmore in the Salt Lake Temple on February 9, 1945, and settled in the home they have lived in for the past 64 years celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary this year. An avid gardener, mother loved planting her flowers and even pulling weeds. A loyal sports fan, she attended and followed the Utah Jazz games and shared her season tickets with many. Grandma attended many of her grandchildren''s plays, musical productions and sports events applauding and cheering them to success.
A life-long member of the Church of Jesus of Latter-day Saints mother served in several callings: Relief Society President, Primary positions, and a 20 years calling of Meetinghouse and Ward librarian in the Kaysville 5th and 2nd wards. She was a teller for First Security Bank at Hill Air Force Base and a secretary at the Davis High Seminary.
Her interests and talent included photography, worldwide travel, scrap booking and many friends over her lifetime that she loved dearly. Active in D.U.P. and providing meals for the Davis County Fair Board each August, mother volunteered her time and energy to all. Her life was a mirror of service to her church, family, and friends. Mother loved all of us and we loved her. She made us feel special!
