Leona Ann Haskell Close

Leona Ann Haskell Close passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Ogden, Utah.

She was born June 29, 1928 in Payson, Utah to Leo Earl and Matilda Hanks Haskell.

Leona married Glen William Close in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were later divorced.

She loved music, genealogy, photography, outdoor recreation and travel. Her favorite vacations were to England, Hawaii and Alaska. She was proud of her children and loved them very much. She will be missed by all.

Leona is survived by her brother, Dwane (LuDean) Haskell, Payson; four children, George (Kathy) Close, Ogden; Maurene (Leigh) Williams, West Valley City; Robert (Tauna) Close, Elk Grove, CA; Steven Close, Draper; 25 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Allan and David, two grandchildren and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 21st at 1p.m. at the Mountain View 2nd Ward Chapel, 75 South 600 East, Payson, Utah.

The family will meet with friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church house.
