LAYTON a€" Leonard was born on 10-27-51 to James R. Knight and Ann P. Stoddard. He was raised in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ogden High School. He later received his Associates Degree from DATC. Fishing was Leonard''s passion as long as he didn''t have to eat it. He was also a diehard Dolphins fan and will be watching them from above.

Leonard married Debbie Shupe and later divorced. From that union he had two sons, Ryan and Jeff. He later married Dottie Doerr and later divorced. In September 2004 he married Laurie Nance and became a wonderful stepfather to her two children, Erik and Emily Rodriguez.

Leonard worked the last 20 years for Ed Kenley Ford doing all the maintenance and security. He loved his job and the many friendships he made there. Leonard was member of the LDS Church.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Laurie and her children Erik and Emily; sons, Ryan and Jeff. He is also survived by his loving brothers and sisters, Jewel Lee Kenley, West Point; Mickie Worthen, Ferron; Dr. Kelly J. Knight, Maryland; Frank Knight, Salt Lake City; Bob Knight, Ogden; and many nieces and nephews. He had a very special bond with his nephew Brett Kenley and his family. He is also survived by his in-laws, Tauna (Jay) MacPherson, Angie (Lee) Parry, Korey (Ele) Nance and Brooke (Travis) Kimball. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sharon Nichols, brother-in-law, Ed Kenley and niece Anya Kenley.

Leonard, the last few years have been the best. You now have no limitations and can fish for the big one. Rest in peace a€" I love you.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 1, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Layton Vae View Ward, 1715 West 1600 North. Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the ward.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First National Bank of Layton in his name.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
