Leota H. Crocker
LAYTON a" Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at her home.
She was born December 14, 1933 in Seymour, MO the daughter of Jesse and Lottie McCormack Hargus.
Leota married Ralph M. Clontz on February 2, 1952 in Clearfield, Utah. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1981. She married Ed Crocker on May 9, 1986 in Ogden, Utah. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2003.
She was a member of the Clearfield Community Church. Leota volunteered at Davis Hospital and Volunteer of America. She gave service to many at the Clearfield Community Church.
Surviving are her son Dennis (Jerri) Clontz, Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Travis, Cody and Shawna, step-sons, Dave (Kathleen) Crocker, Salt Lake City; Bill (Barb) Crocker, ND; step-daughter, Nancy (Brandon) Crocker, West Haven; brother, Elza Hargus, Pampa, TX; sisters, Aileen Cook, Seymour, MO; Helen Haynes, Springfield, MO; and Freda Fisher, Clearfield. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, son, Jerry Clontz and grandson, Jesse Clontz.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Thatcher Brook Hospice, Karen, Terri, Heather and Alana for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial gift be given to the Clearfield Community Church, 200 So. 500 E., Clearfield, Utah 84015.
