LeRene Yarnell

LeRene Yarnell, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was born on July 15, 1925 to Philo and Erma Heaton Allen in Panguitch, Utah. She was raised in Kanab, Utah the oldest of 14 children. She moved to Ogden to work as a forklift driver at the Freeport Center in Clearfield, where she met her husband, Warren Clifford Yarnell. They were married on August 31, 1946. Warren passed away on May 21, 1999. That same year LeRene received her diploma through Davis Applied Technical College.
LeRene was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was fond of cooking and worked as a cook at Davis North Hospital, the Davis School District, and Rocky Mountain Care Center. She also worked for Clearfield City as a receptionist.
An avid artist she loved to paint on canvas and sawblades. She loved her family and enjoyed the times they got together. LeRene also enjoyed animals of all kinds including her 10 younger brothers.
LeRene is survived by her sons, Clifford Allen (Beverly) Yarnell, Battle Mountain, NV and Royce Lee (Kristy) Yarnell, Brigham City, UT; four grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and by her brothers, John, Jesse, Israel, Leonard, Gideon, Don, Fred, Ashley, and Stephen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren and granddaughter, Bonnie Yarnell; as well as by her siblings, Shirley, Philo, Vesta, and Virginia.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
