LeRoy Christian Ball

LeRoy Christian Ball, 85, passed away peacefully with his children and grandchildren around him on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.  He was born on June 28, 1929 in Logan, Utah, a son of Lyman and Lula Ball s .

He married the love of his life Donnalee Robinson on September 15, 1954 in the Logan LDS Temple.

LeRoy was raised and educated in Dayton, Idaho.  In 1967 LeRoy bought a farm in South Willard where he lived and farmed for the next 46 years.  He was a hard worker and took pride in always providing for his family.  One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family on the farm.  He passed his love of farming and hard work onto his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. This is where some of the greatest memories and nicknames were made and adventures took place.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served several missions and held numerous callings. He found great joy in doing genealogy and serving in the temple. He had a great knowledge of the gospel and was constantly reading to learn more.

LeRoy is survived by his children, Robert Don (Teresa) Ball, St. George; Karen Kay (Ted) Wright, Clinton; Kenneth LeRoy (Angela) Ball, Harrisville; Chad Jeremy ( Kady ) Ball, South Willard; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.  A lso surviving are three sisters and one brother, Elda , Mary, Karren , and Mack.

LeRoy was joyfully reunited with his wife Donnalee and youngest son Derreck whom preceded him in death along with his parents, brother Val, and sister Cloma .

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Willard Stake Center, 8230 South HWY 89.  Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd., and Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.

The greatest legacy in life is to love and be loved.  Dad and grandpa you were loved so much!
