LeRoy G. Bowers

Dad your final wish has been granted to go be with mom forever. LeRoy G. Bowers passed away at home with family by his side on June 25, 2015. He was 90 years old.

He was born September 30, 1924 in Collinston, Utah to Delbert and Elizabeth Jane Hadfield Bowers. He is the youngest of 12. He served two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He married his sweetheart LaRee Adams on September 28, 1946. Their vows were solemnized June 18, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three children. Dad and mom had 61 wonderful years together.

He retired from the Defense Depot Ogden in 1978. Dad loves to go camping, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and working on wood projects.

He is survived by his two daughters, Marsha (Larry) Burnett, Ogden; Janet (Gary) Wixom, Layton; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, son Alan R. Bowers, parents and all his siblings.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 29, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
