Le Roy H. Draper, 92, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014.
He was born April 30, 1921 in Lewiston, Utah to Robert and Sylvia Hulse Draper.
On May 25, 1943, Le Roy married Helen Neilson in Ely, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
He proudly served in his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Le Roy was a farmer all of his life and could always be found tinkering with a task.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Le Roy is survived by his loving wife, Helen; their children, Richard L. (Diana) Draper, Logan; DeAnn (Kevin) Johnston, Taylorsville; Jenetta (Greg) Klippel, Clearfield; daughter-in-law, Tam Draper, Layton; 20 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bud Draper, Layton and one sister, Wilma Romero, Stockton, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Ronald Draper.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 15th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, West Point Cemetery.
