LeRoy "Pete" Newland

In the late evening of April 3, 2012 LeRoy Newland, known as Pete by his friends and family, went quietly to join his beloved wife and friend Marsa Lee in the presence of our Savior. Born on October 22, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri, Pete was 86 years old at the time of his passing. He lived in Ogden, Utah for the last 52 years.

Over the years spent in Ogden, Pete was active in the First Christian Church and later, the Wasatch Evangelical Free Church of Roy. He has many wonderful friends from both of these churches.

Pete leaves behind his three children, Daniel Lee Newland, Connie J. Newland Chilinski, and William R. Newland. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 11:45 to 12:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
