Lester Jay Edwards passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Ogden Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 23, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to William and Tessie Woolsey Edwards.

On January 21, 1967, Lester married Mary Ellen Fowers in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a foreman.

Lester enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, camping and bowling. He was a very generous man. His humorous personality lifted every ones spirits that was around him.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary Ellen Fowers Edwards, their children, Kenny (Michelle) Edwards, Hooper; Bruce (Tina York) Edwards, Roy; Cody (Rayda Tegen) Edwards, Clearfield; BeLynda (Vinnie Noriega) Edwards, West Haven and Clifton Edwards, Roy; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Bangerter and Beverline (Phillip Gooch).

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, June Welty, Maxine Williams, and two brothers, Grant LaMar Edwards and Morris Leon Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, West Point Cemetery.
