Lettie "Dell" Barger Brock

Our mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother, L. "Dell" Barger Brock, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 of natural causes. She had a giving heart and a dry sense of humor. She was the center of her family and she will surely be missed at all future family gatherings.

She was born June 27, 1923 in Downey, Idaho to Samuel Jasper Barger and Lillie Belle Purser.

In 1946 Dell married Darrell Dinsdale of Ogden. They had twin daughters, DeAnn Wright, of Salt Lake City and Lana Kay Wilson, of Ogden; and a son Luke Dinsdale of Franklin, TN. They were later divorced. Dell married James Brock in 1957. Jim preceded her in death in 1991.

She retired in 1983 from many years of work at the Defense Dept in Ogden.

Del is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a brother, Bud of Downey, ID; and a sister, June of Rochester, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bill and Zen, a sister, Gwen, and one granddaughter, Lisa Miller.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Wasatch Care Center and Hospice in Ogden for their attentive care and kindness shown during her final weeks of life.

At Dell''s request, there will be a graveside service on Saturday, August 13th at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
