Lewis B. Cragun

LAYTON a€" Lewis Budge Cragun, 97 and a-half years old, left this life with a smile on his face on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.

He was born May 4, 1913 in Acequia, Idaho, a son of Mormon and Annie May Budge Cragun.

On July 24, 1936, Lewis married Elizabeth Georgina Brown in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death in 1994. He married Jeanne Jensen on September 25, 1995 in Ogden, and they were later sealed in the Ogden Temple.

He was raised in Pleasant View, Utah and spent most of his life in the Ogden area.

Lewis was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to California and was always a strong supporter of the missionary program. He served in various callings and was involved with music in the church for most of his life. He served as a ward chorister for 42 years in one ward.

Lewis owned the Quality Fabric Center in Ogden, was a wholesale textile sales representative and sold exercise equipment for years.

He loved to dance, cruise and was an avid fisherman.

Lewis was a gentleman and a gentle man and was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. The family thanks the entire Beehive Home staff in Clearfield for their kind and loving care.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne, of Layton; one daughter and two sons, Sandra Anderson and her husband Phylip Leslie, Cedar City; Gerald (Diann) Cragun and James (Karen) Cragun, both of Ogden; eight grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; five step-children, Cindy (Shon) Goulding, Layton; Galene Jensen and Leslie Jensen, both of Aurora, CO; Bruce (Gaylene) Jensen and Julie (Fred) Allison, both of Fruita, CO; 14 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret Jones, Pleasant View; Lou Jean Pulsipher, North Ogden.

Preceding Lewis in death were three sisters, three brothers and one grandchild Scott Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Denis Butt of the Layton Lakeland Ward officiating.

Family will meet with friends at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
