Lewis Albert Ernsberger
ROY a" Lewis Albert Ernsberger, 89, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 20, 2011, of causes incident to age.
He was born July 30, 1921 in Norwalk, Ohio to Wilmer D. and Gladys M. Butler Ernsberger. He was raised in Norwalk, Ohio.
Lewis served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On February 14, 1948, Lewis married Doris M. Artz in Shelby, Ohio.
He worked for a supply depot then transferred to Roy, Utah to work at Hill Air Force Base.
Lewis was a member of Our Savior''s Lutheran Church.
He was a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Shelby, Ohio. He was also a member of the Elks and past exalted ruler of the Roy Elks.
He learned many life skills as he participated in the Boy Scout''s of America. He loved to work on airplanes and cars, especially the Austin Healy for his wife, Doris. He loved to build model airplanes, enjoyed camping and trips in the "fire ball" trailer.
Lewis loved his wife and children with his whole heart.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; a son Keith, of Roy; a daughter, Kathy (Alan) Baumgartner, Farmington; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Simcox, Sandusky, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Carrol.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 25th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
