Lewis Raymond Flinn passed away on October 12, 2014 while visiting his son Dennis, living in Lindon, UT.
Ray was born in Sidney, Nebraska on July 27, 1938, the son of Walter Raymond Flinn and Etta Marie Flinn. He spent most of his life in Utah and was a graduate of Ben Lomond High School in 1957. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He married Joan Maureen Thomas April 24, 1959. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, August 24, 1964.
Ray was a man of many talents. He worked most of his life as a systems analyst for the US Government and some years in the private sector. He built two homes in Ogden and Riverdale, UT. He was very active and had to do something all the time. If anyone had trouble or problems he was right there to help. He always put others before himself. He will be missed beyond measure.
He is survived by his wife, Joan and four children: Dennis Raymond (Kathy) Flinn, Drew Christopher Flinn, Darin Kurtis (LillieAnn) Flinn, Debra Joann (Dennis) Swenson. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
