Lexter Allen Ingles
WASHINGTON TERRACE a" Lex Ingles, 58, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008.
Lex was born July 24, 1949 in Ogden, a son of Allen and Juanita Ingles. Lex was raised in Ogden and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1968. Following graduation he joined the U.S. Navy Sea Bees and served in the Vietnam War.
Lex married Cheryl Nelson on November 16, 1973.
He was employed at Defense Depot Ogden and Hill Air Force Base where he retired in 2005 after 30 years of service.
Lex always loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed boating and fishing and spending a lot of time at Flaming Gorge, Bear Lake, and Lake Powell. He also loved camping, barbequing and cooking with his dutch ovens. He enjoyed building things and had a knack for it. He always said "The only thing I can''t repair is the crack of dawn and a broken heart."
Lex is survived by his wife, Cheryl; sons, Ryan (JoAnn) Ingles, Beau Ingles, daughter, Shalise (Josh) Reese, brothers, Mike (Joyce) Davison, Larry (Gaylene) Ingles, Mark Ingles, sisters, Sharon (John) Hill, Eva Andrews and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will meet friends at the mortuary on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
