Lillian Jonas Talbot
LAYTON a" Lillian Jonas Talbot, 78 years old. Our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother left for her eternal home peacefully on February 20, 2009.
She grew up in Richmond, Utah. This is where she met her sweetheart Ray L. Talbot. They were married August 16, 1948 in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all eternity.
Lillian worked at Clover Club Chip factory until retiring to care for her mother. After her mother''s passing, she chose to become a home health aide. She loves her family and enjoyed gardening and her many books. Lillian was a member of the Layton 4th Ward and enjoyed the many callings such as Primary teacher, Genealogy, Temple extraction and visiting teaching. She enjoyed going to institute classes and performing Temple work with her daughter Tami Sasseen.
Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as all who knew her, loved her, appreciated her, and will miss her greatly.
Lillian is survived by her children and their spouses; Larry Ray (Relia) Talbot, Roy; Sherlean (Jerry) Collier, Hyrum; Cheryle A. (Vince) Gonzales, Clinton; Tamra Jean (Barry, deceased) Sasseen, Layton; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 brother Ellis Jonas, and 1 sister LeRita Neilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 5 brothers, and a son-in-law.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Layton 4th Ward Chapel, 1480 Phillips Street, Kaysville. Friends and family may call Tuesday, February 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road, Layton, and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Garden of the Wastach, 1836 Combe Road, South Ogden, off of Highway 89
