LINCOLN JOHN BERGESON
2002 - 2017
Our beloved son, brother and friend, Lincoln John Bergeson, left us this past Sunday morning, Oct. 22nd 2017, after struggling with challenging health issues for many years. Despite the many tears from his passing, we are eternally grateful for the never-ending, unconditional love and devotion of Jesus Christ, and for the eventual resurrection and reunion we know our Savior will provide.
Lincoln loved all kinds of music, especially alternative and classical. With a life-long passion for learning he enjoyed educational documentaries, the sciences (especially chemistry), studying logic and discussing history and politics. Other interests he had included architecture, reading, cooking, natural health, gardening, family history and technology. With his tremendous affinity for the outdoors he found great joy in hiking, skiing, deep-sea fishing, traveling and in taking care of the environment. He loved good movies and playing video games with his older brother and friends. Many of Lincoln's teachers often said he routinely displayed wisdom and knowledge beyond his years. Everyone noticed his tenderness and compassion for little children. We all cherished family time with him as we talked and laughed together. Lincoln always had a keen sense of fairness and kindness and to know him was to love him. Above all, he had a deep and abiding love for our Savior and his prayers to our Heavenly Father were marked by their sincerity and reverence.
He is survived by his father, Jamin Bruce Bergeson, his mother, Karen Maloy Bergeson, and his brothers and sisters McKay, Aspen, Liberty, River and Brighton.
The family would like to thank all those who generously offered such Christ-like love and support in the aftermath of Lincoln's passing, especially the members of the LDS Bountiful 4th Ward and all our friends and family who have come to our aid from far and wide. Our family has been extremely grateful and humbled by all your efforts and heart-felt compassion.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at 11a.m. at the Bountiful 4th Ward Chapel located at 102 East 1400 South, Bountiful, UT. Friends may visit from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment following at Lakeview Memorial Estates Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
