Lincoln Penland

Lincoln Ty Penland

June 2, 2013 ~ February 28, 2014

Our sweet baby boy passed away peacefully in his mother’s arms and returned home to his Heavenly Father on February 28, 2014.

Lincoln was born June 2, 2013, in Ogden, Utah to his loving parents, Christopher Ryan and Alesha Hipwell Penland.

Lincoln was a perfect baby. He had such a sweet spirit about him. He melted everyone’s heart with his cute smile and had a laugh that was contagious. He was loved by everyone he came in contact with. His favorite song was “I Am a Child of God.” He absolutely adored his big brother and watched everything he did. He was always smiling and was so content watching everything and everyone around him. He will be greatly missed, but we look forward to when we will be reunited with him again. We know it will be a joyous reunion! We love you little Linc Linc!

Lincoln is survived by his parents, Christopher and Alesha, his brother, Boston; his grandparents, Ty and Julie Hipwell, West Weber; Bruce and Anne Penland, North Ogden; great-grandparents, Gary and Tahna Hipwell, West Weber; and Brian Taylor, Farr West. He is also survived by his great-great-grandmother, Virgina Hipwell, West Weber; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jean Taylor, Pearl Glazier, Mildred and Ted Penland.

The family would like to give a special thanks to McKay-Dee Hospital’s ER staff and to all the doctors and nurses who took care of him at Primary Children’s Hospital. They were angels themselves.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 7th at 11 a.m. at the West Haven LDS Stake Center, 3300 South 4700 West.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
