Linda Gayle Kariya Arita

Linda Gayle Kariya Arita, daughter of Shigeo and Yoshie Kariya, was born on November 6, 1952 in Ogden, Utah.  She passed away on December 10, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah, after an illness.

Linda loved traveling and working on different crafts.  More than anything, Linda loved taking care of her children, Kristing and Matthew, and watching them grow up.  When her children were older, they loved taking care of her.  They would spend all of their free time with her and when they could not be together, kept in constant contact through phone calse and text messages.

She also enjoyed living with her sister, Kathleen, who preceded her in death by two months. They were best friends and each other's confidants.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Kristin; son, Matthew; brother, Glen; sisters, Marilyn and Carol; and many family members who will miss her dearly.  She will be interred at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
