SUNSET-- Linda Rae Kirshner, 73, surrounded by her loved ones, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 in Ogden, Utah. She was born on November 10, 1937 in Logan, Utah to Marion and Josephine Thatcher Archibald. Linda graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She married Roger V. Hall and they later divorced. Linda married William H. Kirshner on November 28, 1964 in Reno, Nevada. Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving in many positions. She retired from Hill Air Force Base after 22 years with the Civil Service. During her life she lived in various places, including California, Germany, and Sunset, Utah.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. Friends and family remember her for her quiet, pleasant personality and quick wit. She had a loving relationship of 47 years with her husband Bill. Bill was very devoted to her, especially during her last two years of life, where he provided intensive, loving care at their home until her death.

Linda is survived by her husband, Bill, her sons John Hall (Sharon), Jeff Hall (Vicki), and Stan Kirshner (Jill); six grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Lee Archibald (May) and sisters Kathy Wright (Paul) and Margaret Nielsen (John). She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Craig and Scott Hall.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Applegate Homecare & Hospice, especially Sherry and Tiffany, for their dedicated service; the staff at Crestwood Care Center and McKay-Dee Hospital. Special thanks to the friends and neighbors who assisted Bill in Linda''s care.
