Linda Leann McFarlin (59) of Layton, UT was welcomed by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. She was born to James and Helen Beach on November 1, 1954 in Canon City, CO. She married Gary McFarlin, current pastor of Salt Valley Landmark Missionary Baptist Church (Clearfield) and employee of EnableUtah (Ogden), on September 20, 1974 in Colorado Springs, CO. She had a passion for playing the piano, was known for her skill at improvising, and taught many piano students at Bravo Arts Academy (Clearfield). She also had a long career in customer service and worked as a municipal receptionist, most notably fo r the cities of Bonney Lake, WA and Clearfield, UT. Family and friends remember her endless joy, infectious smile, caring heart, graceful hands, sense of humor, and love for the Lord.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Jared and daughter-in-love Brianna of Big Sky, MT; brother Larry and sister-in-love Laurie Beach of Auburn, WA; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebratory service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT, 84041. Doors will open for fellowship at 9:45 am. In lieu of flowers, love offerings may be sent to Salt Valley LMBC, PO Box 160153, Clearfield, UT 84016.
