WASHINGTON TERRACE a€" Linda Mae Shrope Smith Narcomey, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Washington Terrace Health Services.

She was born February 4, 1921 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of H. Ray and Stella M. Johnson.

In June of 1997, Linda married William P. Narcomey in the Ogden LDS Temple.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Linda retired from Hill Air Force Base where she was employed as a data input processor.

She loved making crafts and won several blue ribbons and awards for her workmanship. Linda also loved quilting, making quilts at Autumn Glow, and singing with her sisters.

Surviving are her husband, William; two daughters, Eileen K. McDougall and Mollie K. Shrope; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Betty R. Hart.

Linda was preceded in death by her previous husbands, Carl James Shrope and Charles O. Smith, sons, Carl L. Shrope, Dennis James Shrope, parents, Holmes Ray and Stella M. Johnson, brother, Dan. W. "Sonny" Johnson, and her sister, Rae E. House.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
