Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015, after battling bone marrow cancer for two years.
Linda was born in 1943 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Rayford Haney Wilson and Lorene DeArmond Wilson. The oldest of five children, Linda enjoyed music, tap and ballet, she performed a dance solo in her high school play "South Pacific", and was the Senior Class Secretary.
In 1962 she met Milo, a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force, her soul mate and soon after, husband. After living in Virginia and Germany, where their two sons, Milo and Scott, were born, they moved to California. There they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple with their third child, Megyn, on her way.
In 1981, Milo and Linda would move to Utah. Several years later a dear friend would encourage Linda to finish her college education. Linda would eventually become the editor in chief of the school newspaper and would earn the "Woman of the Year" award at Weber State University. She graduated with a double major in Communications and English. From there she would work her way up to her dream job as an editor for Gibbs Smith Publishing, until her retirement in 2012.
Linda enjoyed a good book, watching movies with her friends, working on her genealogy, attending her grandkids activities, going on her adventurous sister trips (which would include her passion for Zane Grey), catching up (or keeping up) with her two boys, late night talks with her best gal...but most of all the time she spent with her sweetheart, Milo. The last two years, Milo and Linda were inseparable. Every day he loved her and took care of her. Their love story will go on as they both prepare to be reunited one day.
Linda is preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Baby Jr. She is survived by her love, Milo, her children Milo Y. Nimori, Scott Y. Nimori, Megyn Nimori McRoberts (Matthew McRoberts), her grandchildren Taro, Torie, Chelsie, Kade, Rhys and Kobe. Her two sisters Kathie Medlock (Mike Medlock), Patricia McGillicuddy (Kevin McGillicuddy), and her two brothers Doug Wilson (Sallie Wilson) Mike Wilson (Jocelyn Wilson).
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Canyon Woods Ward Chapel, 1085 N. 50 E., Kaysville, UT. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and Tuesday at the church from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
