Linda Joann Vega Palmer

June 1, 1976 — November 14, 2023

Linda was born to Gloria and Dennis Vega on June 1, 1976. She lost her battle with lymphoma, on November 14, 2023. Linda was a magical person, anyone she came in contact with was quickly drawn to her. She had love in her heart for everyone, especially those who she knew

were struggling. Linda was always willing to help in any way that she could. Her infectious smile and big heart have benefited us all.

Linda graduated from Clearfield High School in 1994, where she met her husband Miland. She completed an Associates of Science in General education at Weber State University in 1996, she went on to complete a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Administration in 1999. Later in life she found her love for teaching and completed a Certificate of Teaching also from Weber State in 2022. She loved to learn.

Linda married Miland Palmer on September 4, 1998. High school sweethearts who’s love only grew stronger through 25 happy years of marriage. Linda and Miland were blessed with Emma in 2002 and were blessed again with the arrival of Mia in 2006. Our close little family loves to travel spending time together exploring new places and revisiting favorite destinations like Disney and San Diego.

In order to be at home with her children, Linda did bookkeeping from home for many years. This allowed her to be involved in school activities and be there when the kids needed her. She loved to be involved in their classes and activities. She was very creative and could make

rainbows out of anything. She contributed countless hours to theatre productions including set dressing, costuming, lobby decorations and much more. Linda discovered a love and passion for teaching kids. She went back to school so she could teach. She taught 5th grade at

Crestview Elementary. She loved those students as if they were her own, doing everything in her power to help them be successful both in life and academically. She had many great friends on her team.

Her cancer journey has been a tough one with countless procedures, chemo, and months spent in the hospital. In January a tumor on her spine robbed her of the feeling and use of her lower body. She worked hard to become strong and independent. We thought we had beat it a few

different times, unfortunately it returned. We will be forever grateful for the many loving caregivers that were part of her care.

Linda is survived by her: husband Miland and children Emma and Amelia (Mia); parents Dennis

and Gloria Vega; brother Marcus (Courtney) Vega, their kids Victor, Serenity, Saliyah, and Noah; her brother Matthew (Chelsie) Vega, their kids Preston, Mylo, Tilly, and Nayvie.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Irene and Phillip Renz, and Isidor and Connie Vega.
