Linda Owens Schultz
August 1, 1947 ~ February 21, 2021
Linda Owens Schultz passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021.
She was born on August 1, 1947 in Ogden, Utah to Kenneth Clyde and Emma Loftquist Owens.
Being the only girl with four brothers she had to learn to be tough, strong and spunky. Practical jokes were always a part of their family get-togethers. It’s one the many ways they showed their love for each other.
She was an outstanding leader in her church callings. She touched many of the youth through being a Cub Scout Den Leader and a District Den Leader Coach. Her main purpose for training scouts was to make sure she trained the boys to be worthy men to marry her daughters.
Ask any of the young women she had in her classes for spiritual and hysterical memories, especially the ones from girls camp. She was known as “Honey buns”. Her love for fun didn’t end there. Neighborhood water fights (she would start) short sheeting beds adding in cornflakes, also decorating rooms. There was never a dull moment when she was there.
One of her greatest gifts she had was love. She shared with everyone she came in contact with all the way from family, friends to the 7-Eleven workers where she got her daily Pepsi‘s, extra ice.
She touched many lives
She was very involved in her children’s schools serving in many PTA positions, including PTA President.
Her career path let her take care for people as a CNA for Valley View Medical Center and Home Health Care in Iron Country Utah.
She landed her husband, Val, by tripping him during an ice-skating speed race. They have been skating through life hand-in-hand ever since. 56 years ago, they were sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Utah Temple.
Her legacy carries on through her other half, husband, and genuine supporter, Val; children, Chris (Tim) Jensen of Roy, Utah; Wendy (Chris) Shoop of Cedar City, Utah; JaNae Al-Amri of Roy, Utah; grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Amber, Emily, Tess, Brooke, Entasar, Austin, Cassie, Kylee; great-grandchildren, Jezlia, Jordan, Rowen, Nevaeh, Nixon, Charlie and Kyrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Kenneth, Emmett, Dennis and Doug, son, Steven Val, daughter, Sherie Beth, and son-in-law, Ali Al-Amri.
The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at McKay-Dee Hospital and especially the medical staff with Intermountain Home Health Care for their delicate and loving care of our precious Angel Momma.
