Linda Christine Spencer
Linda Christine Spencer beloved wife and mother passed from this life on October 18, 2015. She was born in Ogden, Utah to Marguerite and Frank “Roy” Johnson. She married the love of her life and eternal companion Lynn R. Spencer on March 3, 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints holding many callings until she was unable to because of her health. She was a talented, kind, and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandma. Although she was only blessed with one child, she was a second mom to many children at the schools. She was an amazing grandma to Zachary, Kayla, Grady, Daniel, and Dalelynn who were the lights of her life.
All of her family and friends benefited from her well known skills of crafting and cooking. They were the recipients of her cards, dolls, afghans or banana cake and potato salad. She provided an amazing example of hardwork, selflessness by lovingly caring for her mother-in-law, her parents, and her family all while working in the Weber County Schools as a cook for Bonneville High School and Washington Terrace Elementary School for 24 years.
Linda is survived by her husband, daughter, Jackie (David) Parker; three grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brothers, Frank (Vicki) Johnson and John Johnson; and many brothers and sisters-in-law that she regarded with great affection. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Paulette Adamson.
Our family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and CNAs that have helped Linda since March. We will be forever grateful to them for the respect, patience, and kindness as we navigated the various health challenges she faced. A special thank you to all her brothers and sisters-in-law, the staff at Crestwood, Pineview Rehab Center, the Staff at McKay Dee Hospital, and Dr. Kory Anderson.
