Linda Sue Hall-Boyd
June 14, 1947 ~ February 4, 2015
Our dear Linda passed away from complications of scleroderma on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.
Linda’s amazing life began on June 14, 1947 in Lincoln, Nebraska, born to Donald Hall and Virginia Hanners.
She was a loving daughter, sister; wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to laugh, and live life to its fullest. She grew into an intelligent, thoughtful woman who was equally interested in both science and spirituality.
After a successful professional career, she graduated from Utah State University and went on to pursue her spiritual passion at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkley, California. There she received her master’s degree in 2008 (Magna Cum Laude). She traveled extensively, and everywhere she went, she left the world a better place than she had found it. She made everyone around her feel important and understood, a rare and beautiful gift. She truly found her calling when she became a Chaplain and used her natural talents to heal the hearts of others.
Even as her rare disease deteriorated her body, her optimism and love of life stayed intact. She said, “My body may have shriveled but my spirit is still supple - Life is good.”
Linda leaves a legacy of laughter, wisdom, and compassion to those who survive her: husband, Larry K. Boyd; two sons, David Mark (Eramie) James and Michael James (Kim) O’Neal; sister, Joyce Grow; brother, Larry Hall; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday February 20, 2015 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 2374 Grant Avenue. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
