Linda Sue Girod Thompson

LAYTON – Linda Sue Girod Thompson, 66, passed away November 22, 2017 at her home.

She was born November 17, 1951 in San Marcos, Texas the daughter of George William and Evelyn Beamon Girod.  She was the fourth of eight children.

Linda married Douglas Thompson on December 28, 1974 in Austin, Texas.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

Linda liked sewing, quilting, baking, reading, collecting hummingbirds, state spoons and wind chimes.

Surviving are her husband Douglas, children, Erick (Jennifer) Thompson, Amanda Baum, Jeremy (Alicia) Thompson, Joshua (Holly) Thompson, Margie (Bryon) Hess,  Sharliene (Bill) Fletcher, 26 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many foster children.

Preceded in death by her parents, sisters and daughter, Lana Farley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made for funeral services at Mountain America or Golden West Credit Unions to the Linda Sue Thompson Memorial Fund.
