LAYTON a€" Lindsey Marie Barker, 16, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at her home. She was born September 26, 1994 in Ogden, Utah to John Dee and Jeanine Marie Nash Barker. She has lived in Meridian, Idaho and Layton, Utah.

Lindsey was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved Seminary. She was a very compassionate loving friend with a listening ear. She loved without judgment and cared for the under-dog.

Lindsey was a student at Northridge High School. Throughout her life she enjoyed playing the violin in orchestra, and was in the scrapbook club at NLJH; she also loved soccer, dogs, riding her bike, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her parents, John Dee Barker and Jeanine Barker; siblings, 3 brothers and one sister, John Matthew Barker, Austin Robert Barker, Nathaniel Dee Barker and Cassidee Ann Barker; grandparents; Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Uncle Daniel Barker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Family will meet with friends on Monday, April 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the service. We want to thank all of Lindsey''s friends for accepting her for who she was and being there for her.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
