Lisa Mae Bentley Payne, passed away ending her courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, October 20, 2007.

She was born July 27, 1961 in Evanston, Wyoming the first child of Anson Blaine and Shirley Mae Campbell Bentley.

On July 26, 1984, Lisa married Bruce Allen Payne in Ogden. Their marriage was solemnized ten years later in the Ogden LDS Temple on July 2, 1994.

She was raised primarily in Modesto, California but considered her "home town" as Evanston, Wyoming. She graduated from Western Wyoming College Out-reach Program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Lisa worked at the Wyoming State Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center primarily in alcohol and drug rehabilitation. She was very proud of her jobs and loved her patients and co-workers dearly.

She was a member of the Washington Terrace LDS 2nd & 7th Wards where she served as a loving nursery teacher, visiting teacher, Relief Society President, and Young Women''s leader.

Lisa''s greatest joy was her husband and children. They were her whole life. They were in her thoughts and arms until the very last moment. She will carry her love for them into eternity.

She had many friends and family that she loved dearly. They touched her life as she did theirs. Her family included many special people.

Surviving are her beloved eternal companion, Bruce, son of Hearl J. and Patsy Ann Payne; three daughters, Elisabeth Ann, Amanda Mae, Jessica Grace; and one son, Paul Jay; her mother, Shirley Mae Bentley; four siblings, Vickie L. Blake, Anson D. Bentley, Scott Bentley and Treilis Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Anson Blaine Bentley.

Lisa wanted everyone who loved her to know that she will be there on the other side waiting with open and loving arms.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24th at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Reese Housley, officiating.

Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m., at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
