Littleton Ezekiel Bracey Jr. passed away doing what he loved, kneeboarding at Pineview Dam on Friday, October 14, 2011.
He was born July 14, 1958 in Norfolk, VA to Littleton and Oma Maston Bracey. He married Judy Campbell in November 1980 and together they have a daughter, Brittany.
He graduated from Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia in 1976 and has lived in Utah for the past 34 years. He was an Engineer for Lockheed. He was an intelligent idea man; a technical writer and inventor. His philosophy of life was to work hard and play harder. He judged no one and loved everyone.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, watching their sports, taking them for ice cream and doing whatever they were doing. They will miss their Papa Lee.
He is survived by his daughter Brittany DeCocker (Todd) and four grandchildren (the joy of his life) Brylee, Wyatt, Brooklyn, and Boston, who dearly loved him. He is also survived by two brothers: Bill (Rebecca) Bracey, Beaver Creek, OH; Richard (Kim) Bracey, Alpine; five sisters: Myra (Lloyd) Kartchner, Cedar City; Annette (Jim) Tabb, Chesapeake, VA; Leigh-Ellen (Ferris) Kent, Salt Lake City; Roberta (John) Brassell, Pleasantview; and Amy Doyle, Chesapeake, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Along with his family, Lee will be missed by his extended family of friends. His fun and loving personality was contagious. Boating and the sun was his passion. Houseboat trips to Lake Powell with his vintage Mastercraft in tow left wonderful memories for him and each of his friends and family who enjoyed his company. Pineview Reservoir and the Pineview Yacht Club was his second home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 20 at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary.
