Lloyd John Colemere

Kaysville – Lloyd John Colemere passed away at home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

Lloyd was born a twin on April 15, 1933 to Earl and Alvina Moss Colemere.  He was a lifelong resident of Kaysville, Utah.  He married Jeraldine Allen on August 31, 1957.

After graduating from Davis High School, Lloyd proudly served in the United States Navy for four years from 1953 to 1957 and was a Korean War Veteran.  During his service to his country he received the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations China Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

He graduated from Weber State University and was in Quality Control by profession.  Lloyd worked for the U.S. Government at the Hercules Facility retiring after 35 years of Civil Service in 1988.

He was a member of the LDS church.

Lloyd loved nothing more than spending time with his family.  His favorite activities were hunting, camping and any other activity that included being in the outdoors.  He was a Utah Jazz fan.  He was an avid gardener and took great pride in taking care of his large garden.

Lloyd is survived by his three children; Jerilyn ( Kelly) Criddle, Syracuse, Debbie (Greg) Kauffman, Clearfield, and Kenny Colemere, Kaysville.  Seven Grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters; June (Lane) Hickman, Bountiful and Marie (Loyd) Paget, West Bountiful.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful bride of 50 years Jeraldine (Jeri) Allen Colemere, son Paul Allen Colemere, Parents, three brothers; Dale (Irene) Colemere, Floyd (Pat) Colemere , Wayne (Barbara) Colemere and one sister Marge (Leo) Fricks.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main Street.  Friends may visit with family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m., and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
