Lloyd R. Harmon, Sr.
SOUTH OGDEN a" Lloyd R. Harmon, Sr., 76, died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at his home in South Ogden.
He was born July 30, 1931 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, a son of John Milton and Sarah Charlotte Humphries Harmon. He was raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
On September 22, 1956, Lloyd married Betty Jean Smith in Ogden.
He worked for American Nutrition as a shipping and receiving clerk.
Lloyd was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Roy. He was very proud of his Cherokee and Chippewa Heritage. Lloyd enjoyed hunting with his boys, fishing, bowling, playing pool, reading, collecting coins and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife Betty of South Ogden; three sons and four daughters, Lloyd R. Harmon, Jr., St. George; Jerald D. Harmon, Syracuse; Robert M. (Janette) Harmon, Hooper; Debra Byron, Ogden; Julie A. (Adam) Ellis, West Haven; Verona J. (Larry) Harmon, Roy; Karen M. Harmon, Ogden; a very special granddaughter, Stefany, 14 additional grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Anne Roney and Artie Walden.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Pearl Burrows, twin sister Lois Harmon, and his brothers John M. Harmon and Jess Harmon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 27 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Bishop Scott Reeve officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday, September 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, September 27 from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Inurnment will be held Saturday, September 29 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
