Lloyd Knighton Moss

Our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, Lloyd Knighton Moss, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 23, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born to David Hyrum and Sarah Anne Knighton Moss on November 25, 1922 in Ogden, Utah. Lloyd grew up in the Ogden area and graduated from Ogden High School.

He married his sweetheart, Lois Idella Mattson, on December 1, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They spent 69 wonderful years together before his passing.

Lloyd served in the Navy as a Seaman First Class during World War II from April 1944 to December 1944. He worked as a maintenance director for the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Lois; daughters, Sindi Noble and Silver (Ted) McGregor; son, Kevin L. (Denise) Moss; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and brother, Carl D. Moss

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Lyle Moss.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1290 South 1000 West. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
