Lois Ann Allen

LAYTON a€" Lois Ann Allen, 78, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at her home.

She was born March 9, 1934 in Twin Falls, Idaho the daughter of Woodrow J. and Grace Bosworth Mendenhall.

Lois married Robert Grant Jr. in June 1951. They were later divorced. She married Joseph Carl Allen on July 22, 1961 in Elko, NV. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1994.

Lois was a member of the LDS Church.

She volunteered at Autumn Glow Senior Center in Kaysville for many years. She loved fishing, gambling and being with her family.

Surviving are her two daughters, Linda (Jack) Bynum, Pat (Jim) Duckworth, eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Joyce (Cliff) Cleary, Connie (Kirby) Harkness and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Carl Allen and daughter, Kim.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
