Lois B. Hutzley
WASHINGTON TERRACE a" Lois Beverly Hutzley, 83, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Ogden Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 21, 1927 in Ogden, a daughter of Wonda William and Hattie Eleanor Hutchings Godfrey.
Lois married Thurman Jay Hutzley on September 21, 1946 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Lois was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for many years as the chorister in the Primary, Sunday School and Sacrament Meeting. She also served as Relief Society Secretary and Temple worker.
Lois loved to golf and do many arts and crafts.
Surviving are her husband Thurman of Washington Terrace; five sons and two daughters Clayton Hutzley, Blake (Kathy) Hutzley, Daniel (Vivian) Hutzley, Garth Neal (Janet) Hutzley, Nathan (Shelley) Hutzley, Gaylene (Mike) Scott; Valerie (Lance) Krebs, 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Jesse (Marge) Godfrey, Wallace (Ann) Godfrey, Allen (Jean) Godfrey, Louise (Dale) Call and Eleanor (LaGrand) Hadley.
Preceding Lois in death were her son Mark, her parents, and brothers, Russell and Bill.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at The Washington Terrace 9th Ward Chapel, 125 East 5350 South, with Bishop Ron Stewart officiating.
Family will meet with friends at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
